1924-2021
The death of Clara Charlotte Boyne occurred at the Fundy
Nursing Home, Blacks Harbour NB on November 11, 2021. Born at Lepreau
NB on October 19, 1924, she was a daughter of the late William and Eva
(Donnor) Boyne.
A loving sister, aunt and great aunt, she is survived by her
sister; Helen Melanson of Lepreau NB, six nieces, two nephews as well
as several great nieces, great nephews and cousins. In addition to her
parents, she was predeceased by her sister Kathleen Boyne and brothers
Arthur and Robert.
Prior to her retirement, Clara had once been employed at Shaw
and Ellis Clam Factory in Pocologan for several years until it closed.
She then worked as a homemaker in both the domestic and hospitality
industry for various employers. She loved living the simple life with
simple pleasures such as gardening and walking. In her earlier years,
she truly enjoyed the nature walks with the kids, gathering the leaves
in the fall as well as taking them skating and sliding in the winter
and just having fun. She will be sadly missed by all who knew
her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home
(755-3533) 26 Portage Street, St. George NB. Although there will be no
visiting at the funeral home, a graveside service will be held at the
Lepreau Community Cemetery, Lepreau NB on Monday at 2 pm with Wayne
Hutchinson and Murray Egger officiating. In Clara’s memory, donations
to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated by
the family
