CLAIRE FEDEYKO
November 12, 1933 – November 18, 2021
Peacefully passed away at home just after her 88th birthday. Beloved wife of the late Paul Fedeyko, loving mother to the late Michael Fedeyko, Mary Anne Dansie (Tim) of England and Nancy Fedeyko (Sheri) of Port Coquitlam, B.C. Cherished grandmother to Susanna, Katherine and Claire Dansie. Dear sister of Philomena Reynolds, the late Nan Tannian and the late Jim Tannian.
Mom, G-Ma, Mai Tai Momma, Claire. Best mom ever, wonderful fun-loving grandma, traveller extraordinaire, woman who could out-party and out-dance the best of them. Great friend and support to all who knew her. Proud supporter of the Calgary Stampeders, ‘yee-hoo-ing’ them on year after year. A volunteer all her life, working with kids with special needs, canvassing for cancer fundraising, working with the Red Cross contacting donors, active member in her church (of course always hitting the Timmies after for iced coffee/hot chocolate!). Always giving with a smile on her face, thinking of others first. A perfect example of how to make the best of every situation and living the absolute best possible life. How to sum up this incredible woman’s like in such a short write-up is simply impossible. She made us laugh with such an amazing (and sometimes irreverent) sense of humour. Our pride in how she lived her life is immeasurable, and in her honour, we will strive to live like her.
Yee-hoo, mom!
