Donner, Christina “Chris”:
Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, February 2nd, 2021 at the age of 74.
Loving mother of Yvonne Donner, Deborah Donner (Bruce Winter) and Cindy Rush.
Cherished grandma of Jesse Flossbach, Taylor Donner, Kyle Eidt, Nicole Eidt, Derek Rush, Bryan Rush and Calvin Rush.
Predeceased by her first husband Jurgen “Jerry” Donner, parents Bruno and Mary Scheel, brother Peter Haensel (2020), great-granddaughter Amelia Rayna (2019), and stepson Dave Eby (2020).
Chris worked as a registered nurse at Freeport Health Centre until her retirement in 2005. She was an active member of the Moose Lodge, serving as President of the Women of the Moose for two years. Chris was seasons tickets holder for the Kitchener Rangers, never missing a game.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Chris’ Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Canada or the Cambridge Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
