Chittock Evelyn Friday March 19th 2021

Passed away peacefully at Saint Luke’s Place, Cambridge, on Friday, March 19, 2021 in her 101st year. Evelyn was born in St. Mary’s, Ontario, daughter of the late John and Margaret Marquis. Predeceased by her beloved husband James (Lefty) Chittock (1996).
Loving Mother of Penny (late Jim), Susan (Geoff), and cherished grandmother of Bill Fitton (late Jennie), Bob Fitton, Aaron Trott (Kathleen) and Andy Trott. Great grandmother of Aubrey Trott. Also survived by brother-in-law Bob Chittock and sister-in-law Isabel Chittock.
Evelyn was the last remaining member of her family being predeceased by her five brothers, John, Tom, Joseph, Alfred and Bob Marquis and by her two sisters, Margaret Chittock and Ethel McTavish.
Mom was a hardworking and feisty woman who lived a long and full life. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening and playing cards.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial service will occur at a future date. Many thanks to the Nursing Staff and PSW’s at St. Luke’s Place for their kindness and amazing care of Mom during the nine years she was a resident. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the St. Luke’s Place Foundation, Alzheimer’s Society of Ontario or the Hespeler Legion.
