Chester Goodwin
1949-2021
Chester Bradford Goodwin, age 72 died, suddenly at Nova
Apartment, Tusket, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia on November 28,
2021. Born May 24, 1949 in East Pubnico, he formerly resided
in Shag Harbour. Then with his wife and daughter in Middle
East Pubnico until the passing of his dear and beloved wife Janice
(Bourque) Goodwin on January 1, 2016.
Chester is survived by his daughter Lisa Partington (Mark),
grandson Nigel Partington of Pubnico, granddaughter Shanelle
Partington (Adian Shaw) of Eel Brook, brothers; Raymond Goodwin, Kevin
Goodwin (Marlene) of Lower East Pubnico, several nephews and
nieces.
Chester worked as a fisherman and fish plant processor for
many years. He was an avid nature and animal lover, which he
passed on to his daughter Lisa. Chester truly enjoyed
walking in the woods, hunting, gardening, canoeing, trout fishing,
catching fireflies and feeding the birds and squirrels. He
especially looked forward to the first humming bird of the year to
appear at his feeder. Chester also enjoyed his many Facebook
friends and his many shenanigans. He was very proud of his
family, his daughter and grandchildren, of their many
accomplishments. He loved them dearly.
A graveside burial will take place Saturday December 4, 2021
at 1pm with immediate family and friends only. Fr. Cyrille Assihou
will be officiating. No flowers by request please. Donations in memory
can be made to the local SPCA. On line condolences may be
