Obituary of Charles H.W. Bent
Bent, Charles Hugh Whitman “Charlie” – 86, of Middleton, formerly of Nictaux, passed away July 20, 2021, in the Heart of the Valley Long Term Care Home, Middleton. Born in Round Hill, February 18, 1935, he was the son of the late Charles and Marion (Whitman) Bent. Charlie ran the Taxi Service for many years; he also had a used furniture business in Round Hill. Charlie is survived by his son, Warren (Debbie) of Dartmouth; step grandchildren, Stacey Ogilvie (Bruce), Tammy Watkins (Paul); great grandchildren, Adam and Desiree; great great grandchildren, Dyson, Dawson, Charlie, Kristen. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary Paulina (Titus); step daughter, Zelma Smith; step grandson, Robert Ogilvie, great grandson, Dillion; sisters, Francis and Gladys. Funeral Arrangements have been entrust to the Kaulbach Family Funeral Home, Bridgetown, where a visitation will take place from 12 noon until the funeral service begins at 2pm, Monday July 26, 2021, with Pastor Herb Anderson officiating. COVID 19 restrictions will apply. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery. Donations in Charlie’s memory may be made to the Nictaux Baptist Church.
