ORSBORN, Charles “Chuck”
It is with sadness we announce the passing of Charles Kye “Chuck” Orsborn at his residence on Sunday, August 8, 2021. Chuck was born on September 10, 1952 a son of the late Kye (1993) and Donna (Welt) (2018) Orsborn.
Chuck owned and operated Orsborn Rural Auto Service at Brooksdale for 42 years until due to health problems he closed the business in 2013. He was a Life Member and Past Master of Thistle Lodge #250 A.F. & A.M., Embro; a member of Tavistock Memorial Branch #518 Royal Canadian Legion, where he had served as Membership chairman, Nevada chairman and first Vice-President. He enjoyed fishing, old trucks and cars and family.
Chuck is survived by his wife, the former Trudy Vogt, whom he married on July 17, 1970; three daughters, Marilyn McCormick and friend Jason Houler, Karen Orsborn, Diane and husband Dave Borman. He was the proud “Bumpa Chuck” to six grandchildren, Natasha McCormick, Kourtney Davis, Livia Davis, Tyler Davis, Paige Borman and Jorja Borman and brother-in-law of Heather and Don Riehl.
He was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Harold and Elaine (Strahm) Vogt.
To honour Chuck’s wishes, there will be no funeral home visitation. A private family service will be held with internment of his cremated remains in Townline Methodist Cemetery, Zorra Township, Oxford County.
