The family of Charles Edward Wahpistikwan of Big Island Lake Cree Nation is saddened to announce his passing in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the age of 61 years.
Charles is lovingly survived by his five children: Andrea Singer, Colin Singer, Henry Singer (Shelley), Kyle Singer, Ariel Singer; four grandchildren: Acacia Singer, Aviana Lasas, Aiden Singer, Hedley George; brother: Joe Wahpistikwan; two sisters: Gloria Fiddler, Elizabeth Wahpistikwan; furry friend: Coco; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews & other family.
Charles is going into the arms of his daughter: Angela Singer; parents: Charlie & Agnes Wahpistikwan; two brothers: Ivan Summer, Bruce Wahpistikwan; two sisters: Susan Laplante, Donna Whitehead.
Going Home, Saturday, October 16, 2021 leaving Memento Funeral Chapel, Cold Lake at 11:00 a.m. to Big Island Lake Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan.
Funeral Service, Monday, October 18, 2021at 11:00 a.m., Big Island Lake Band Hall, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan with the Band Elders officiating.
Final resting place, Big Island Lake Cemetery, Big Island Lake Cree Nation, Saskatchewan. Pallbearers: Alfred Mitsuing, Ronald Mitsuing, Sloane Ochuschayoo, Morley Ochuschayoo, David Lasas, Adrian Kahpeepatow.
