Charlene Grace Hodgson Saturday June 12th 2021

Charlene Hodgson was a loving mother, soon to be grandmother and friend. Charlene passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 12,2021 at the Brockville General Hospital after a brief but brave battle with cancer. She was the only child of Gordon and Annie Hodgson and was born in Montreal on August 22, 1955. Charlene left Montreal to pursue a business diploma at St. Lawrence College in Cornwall. From there she went to work for Co-operators Insurance Company until starting a family.
Charlene cherished her friends, neighbors and extended cousins including those on the East Coast. She took great joy in keeping in touch and was thoughtful, caring and compassionate. She adored her son Greg Kennedy (Louise) and her daughter Laura Kennedy. She was excited to welcome her first grandchild, a girl in August.
Family and friends will be received at Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland, ON on Saturday, June 19 from 10 – 11 am with the service to follow at 11 am in the chapel. Interment will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Brockville.
Covid protocols will be in place with a limited number of registered guests in attendance. To register a time for the visitation or service, please call 613-342-2828 between 9 am – 4:30 pm or RSVP below.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the CPHC – Lanark, Leeds and Grenville will be gratefully acknowledged by the family.
Send condolences on the Memory wall above.
