CATHERINE MARY (POREDOS) PRETTIE
January 28, 1965 – April 21, 2021
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Cathy Prettie at the age of 56 years old.
Cathy was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, on January 28, 1965. She is survived by her loving husband, Kelly, son, Dylan, and daughter, Samantha.
Cathy is remembered by her father, Frank, mother, Marie, sister, Annette (Brent), brother, Frank, sister, Emily (Mike), nieces Jessica and Stephanie, and nephews Trevor and Nathan.
Cathy grew up in Transcona and it was no secret that she loved life. Cathy wanted to make the most of every day, whether it was in her younger years playing a competitive game of baseball or bowling with her husband – she enjoyed every minute of it. Later on, as she fought her courageous battle with cancer, her highlights along with being with her family were the coffees, choir nights, and get-togethers with her girls.
Beautiful, happy, strong, and resilient is who she is. A bright shining star that filled a room with light and laughter. She will be forever in our hearts and greatly missed.

A celebration of life will be held in her honour at a later date.
