1957-2021
MAIN RIVER, NB – It is with great sadness that the
family announces the peaceful passing of Catherine Roach, 64, of Main
River at the Stella Maris Hospital on Thursday, November
25th, 2021. Born in Moncton, she was the
daughter of the late Roderick and Yvonne (Whalen) Stewart. Cathy
worked for over 20 years as a homemaker and she enjoyed looking after
others. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her
life.
Cathy leaves to mourn her loving husband, Hugh; her daughter
Melissa Roach of Moncton; her three sons, Curt (Kim Ketcheson) of East
Galloway, Wallie (Joanne) of Dieppe and Ivan (Lacey) of Fredericton;
as well as her six grandchildren, Arianna, Abigail, Aidan, Alex, Addy
and Weston.
Cathy will also be sadly missed by her four sisters, Linda
Cail (Charlie) of Moncton, Farron McDermott (Leo) of Targettville,
Patricia Roberts (Allan) of Main River and Angela Brooks (Robert) of
Loring, ON; her brother, Joseph “Jr” Stewart (Geri) of
Victoria, BC; brother-in-law, Kevin Warman of Bass River; as well as
by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Cathy was predeceased by her sister,
Paula.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private
family graveside service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson Funeral
Home, Richibucto. (523-4252)
