We are deeply saddened to announce the death of our beloved
family member and friend Catherine Mae Carle “Cathie”, of
Clark’s Corner, NB who passed away on December 18, 2021, at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Hospital in Fredericton, NB. Cathie was born on Oct.
31, 1953, in Minto, NB, and was the daughter of the late Earle Carle
and Cora (Butler) Carle. She is survived by her sister, Anna (Carle)
Caissie of Fredericton, niece Amanda Caissie of Halifax, NS, and
nephew, Burton Caissie (Jennifer) of Noonan, NB, Best Friend, Sandy
Washburn, and her best four-legged pal, Polly.
Cathie was a respected elder in the Scotchtown United Church
and a beloved member of the community. Cathie was the kind of person
who made everyone feel special, she didn’t judge and found
the best in everyone. Once you were in her heart you were there
forever. Cathie had an amazing personality, she filled her life with
love and adventure, her greatest passions were boating, fishing,
playing guitar around the campfire, rum, and a good feed of lobster.
She was the hub of our family wheel, always checking in making sure
you were okay, and offering whatever she had to those who needed it.
Her sense of humour was one of a kind, whenever in her presence a good
time was had by all. Cathie’s home was a safe place for
countless family and friends from all walks of life, a place many
called home thanks to her kind spirit.
This is a loss to so many loved ones, her family, her church,
cousins both in Canada and United States, her community, and her many
friends who she considered family. Cathie will never be forgotten and
anyone who knew her knows what true friendship and compassion feels
like.
Due to COVID restrictions, there will not be a formal service
at this time, a Celebration of life will be held at a later
date.
