Poworoznyk, Catherine “Cathy” (March 5, 1946 – October 27, 2021)
It is with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to our wife and mother, who passed away with her family by her side, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021. She fought hard, may she rest in peace. She is with her heavenly family now. Beloved wife of Mervin for 51 years. Loving mother of Mike (DJ), Patti (Don Totzke), Mark (Kelly) and Penny (Marc Mountney). Proud Grandma of Trey, Taya, Roxy, Joann, Jeffrey, Jorja, Jenna, Dylan, Matthew and Easton. Great-grandmother of Edward, Salena and Hailey. Predeceased by her sisters Marianne and Francie. Cathy will be fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends and neighbours. Special thanks to the staff of Grand River Hospital for your compassionate care. The family also extends thanks to their church family and friends for your prayers and support.
Cathy’s family will receive relatives and friends from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 11 a.m. Please note that if you plan to attend the visitation or service, masks are mandatory and you must RSVP your attendance through the funeral home website or by calling (519) 749-8467.
