Catherine Gallant nee MacEwen 2021

Catherine Gallant (nee MacEwen)
Catherine Gallant (nee McEwen) peacefully passed on August
14th, surrounded by her loving family. Catherine raised her family in
Sherwood and Summerside, and grew up in Rollo Bay and Souris. Her life
is proof that love multiplies.
Catherine is survived by her
loving husband of 62+ years, Mike Gallant, and their children, Michael
(Peggy) Gallant, Peter (Leslie) Gallant, John (Harriet) Gallant,
Jacinta (Glenn Smiley) Gallant and Barbara (George) Inman. She is
predeceased by their son, Robert (Debby) Gallant.
Catherine
is also survived by her grandchildren, Jessy, John, Abby, Molly,
Cally, Drew, Sarah, Jack, Catherine, Taylor, Sam, Aly, Chris, Morgan,
Jelisa, Josh, and her great-grandchildren, Fisher and Gus. She is
survived by her sister, Ethel MacEwen, and predeceased by her brother,
Eric MacEwen.
She leaves many cousins and friends who have
been part of family life.
Catherine’s wake will
be held at Hennessey Cutcliffe Funeral Home on Thursday, August 19th
from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. With COVID-19 restrictions in place,
visitation will be in cohorts of 50 at a time. Catherine’s
funeral will follow the wake and with covid restrictions in place,
details will be provided by the family.
