1946 – 2021
Catherine Eunice Kerr (Astle), 74, of Grand Barachois, passed away at home on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Born in Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Erma (Burtt) Astle. Catherine held various jobs including housekeeping at the Nashwaak Motel in Fredericton, where she would go back to visit almost every year. Growing up on the Northwest Miramichi River, she developed a love of fly fishing and salmon fishing. She also enjoyed cars particularly her own Crown Victoria. Catherine loved animals, especially her german shepard, Jericho.
Catherine is survived by her cousin, Carol (George) Hallett of Fredericton. Predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Kerr.
Special thanks to Diane and Tina, members of Catherine’s community support, for all of the care and compassion they provided.
As expressions of sympathy, in Catherine’s memory, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or your local S.P.C.A.
A private graveside service will be held at a later date at the Boom Road Cemetery.
