Catherine Anne Rowan
1952-2021
Catherine Rowan of Lower Coverdale
passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at The Moncton
Hospital. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late
Arnold and Jean (Power) Johnson. Catherine loved spending
time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed
crafts, painting, interior design and gardening.
Cathy lived her life by the ideology
and morals she held dear. A quote she kept near her bedside
reads;
“I cannot believe that the
purpose of life is to be happy. I think the purpose of life is to be
useful, to be responsible, to be compassionate. It is, above all to
matter, to count, to stand for something, to have made some difference
that you lived at all.”
Cathy embodied this sentiment to its
fullest, spending her time on this earth, not only caring for her
family and friends, but devoting her career to looking after the
elderly, spending 17 years employed at the K E Spencer Memorial Home,
lovingly looking after those in her care as if they were
family.
Cathy is dearly missed by her husband
Robert Rowan, daughter Jennifer Rowan, son Geoff Rowan, sister Sandra
(Robert) MacQuarrie, brothers: Greg (Dianna) Johnson, Glen (Sue)
Johnson, grandchildren: Ben, Jessie, Alex and several nieces and
nephews.
Cremation has taken place at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007).
