It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Cassie, at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Grimsby on Friday, August 20, 2021 at the age of 90. Loving wife of the late Stanley (2013). Dear mother of the late Joseph Sobkowich (2010) (Debra), Nancy Pogoda (Ed) and Peter Sobkowich (Lorna). Cherished grandmother of Julie (Stephen), Lisa, Stephen (Megan), Justine (Tyrone) and Shane and great-grandmother of Kaylee, Keegan, Savannah, Aria and Liam. Beloved sister-in-law of Ed Sobkowich (Estelle) and aunt of Edward Sobkowich (Diane) and Debbie McNeil (Craig). Cassie and Stan were retired farmers, having been fruit growers in Beamsville for 42 years. Visitation at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, GRIMSBY (905-945-2755) on Thursday, August 26, 2021, from 5-8 p.m with Vigil Prayers at 5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 135 Livingston Avenue, Grimsby on Friday, August 27, 2021, at 11:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Queen’s Lawn Cemetery, Grimsby. In accordance with provincial regulations, there is a limit to the number of visitors who may attend at one time.
