Cary Lynn Connors 1968 2021

Cary Lynn
Connors
November 4, 1968, to December 13, 2021
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our loving
and cherished daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, Cary
Lynn Connors. Cary was an exceptional, beautiful, thoughtful, and kind
young woman, full of God’s grace. Surrounded by love, she
has gone to join her Saviour Jesus Christ, beloved to us, and even
more precious to her Lord who called her home on December 13 at St.
Martha’s Hospital. We will miss her terribly and love her
forever.
Cary was born on November 4, 1968, in Antigonish, the third
of four children to her Mom and Dad, Fran and Jim Connors, Fraser’s
Grant, Antigonish County, NS. She was a loving, serene, and caring
sister to Maureen, Fraser’s Grant; and brothers Peter (Shelley),
Fraser’s Grant, and Jimmy (Brooke), Liverpool, NS. She was also an
amazing aunt, full of sparkle, and generous with her time and
affection, to her nephews and nieces – Christopher, Zachery, Makenzie,
Joshua, Hanna, Hunter, and River.
Cary was a woman of unbreakable faith with an ethereal spirit
that spread light and goodness unfailingly throughout her lifetime.
She graduated from St. Francis Xavier University in 1992 with a
Bachelor of Arts, a double major in Sociology and Psychology. She was
Assistant Pastor at Believers Church in Grande Prairie, AB, where she
did counseling and preaching. She spearheaded city-wide Good Friday
services which involved all denominations, as well as a Day of Praise
every year for a few years. She was always serving the Lord in a work
capacity or individually…loving of His people. Her heart was one of
love for everyone, young or old, rich or poor, known or unknown. She
was a Medical Records Clerk for the NSHA in Antigonish most
recently.
She brought out the best in each of us and saw the value and
blessing in every person and every life. Cary loved readily and was so
easy to love. Without Cary, our lives will be like a book without page
numbers. The story will go on, but it might feel out of order and the
chapters unfinished. We ask all of you to think of Cary as living in
the hearts of those she touched. For nothing loved is ever lost and
she was loved so very much by so many. She will stay nestled in our
hearts and the ending will unite us in eternity.
We are very grateful for all the care given to Cary at St.
Martha’s Hospital Palliative Care Unit. The nurses and
doctors are exceptional, compassionate, and loving and we will always
remember their dedication and kindness.
There will be no visitation. A service in celebration of
Cary’s life will be held at the Christian Fellowship Church,
489 Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow at 11 am on Saturday, December 18,
2021. Valid proof of vaccination and photo ID is required. Any
donations in memory of Cary may be made to the Christian Fellowship
Church or Palliative Care, St. Martha’s Regional Hospital,
Antigonish, NS.
The Final
Flight
Don’t grieve for me, for
now, I’m free,
I’m following the path God
laid for me.
I took his hand when I heard his
call,
I turned my back and left it
all.
I could not stay another
day,
To laugh, to love, to work, to
play.
Tasks left undone must stay that
way,
I’ve found that peace at
the end of the day.
If my parting has left a
void,
Then fill it with remembered
joy.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a
kiss,
Ah, yes, these things too I will
miss.
Be not burdened with times of
sorrow,
I wish you the sunshine of
tomorrow.
My Life’s been full, I
savored much,
Good friends, good times, a loved
one’s touch.
Perhaps my time seemed all too
brief,
Don’t lengthen it now with
undue grief.
Lift your heart and share with
me,
God wanted me now, He set me
free.
