Obituary of Caroline “Carol” Day (nee Sagala)
DAY, Caroline “Carol” (née Sagala)- Of RR3, Shedden, passed away at Bobier Villa, Dutton on Thursday, January 28, 2021, in her 80th year. Beloved wife for 51 years to William G. “Bill” Day. Dearly loved mother of Lisa Coutu (Rob Laur), and cherished grandmother of Renée and Josée Coutu, all of St. Thomas. Dear sister of Patricia Morris of Tillsonburg, and Sue Eckstein of Parry Sound. Carol is also fondly remembered by her in-laws, nieces, nephews, and their families. She was born March 10, 1941 in Windsor, ON, daughter of the late Roland and Alda (née Soulliere) Sagala. Carol enjoyed bowling in the Women’s League at Heritage Lanes, St. Thomas for a number of years. In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and the interment of her cremated remains will be made privately in Fingal Cemetery at a later date. Carol’s family will celebrate her life privately. If so desired, memorial donations to the Bobier Villa Recreation Dept. will be appreciated. Arrangements entrusted to the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington St., St. Thomas (519-631-1160).
