Carol Ann Diemert 1947 2021

Obituary of Carol Ann Diemert
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Carol Ann Diemert.
Carol passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home, the morning of Friday, November 19, 2021, at the age of 74. Though Carol had defeated bladder cancer, the cost of her battle proved to be too much as she passed due to complications after surgery. She spent her final days surrounded by her family, enjoying the company of her cat, watching her favourite movies, and celebrating an early Christmas.
Carol was born in Regina, SK, to Francis and Mary Diemert. She loved being with her family, especially around the holidays. Her excitement on Christmas mornings was even greater than her grandchildren’s. Carol was often the first to wake and be ready, seated by the tree, sipping her coffee as the rest of her family crawled out of bed.
She was a devoted Christian and followed the teachings of pastor Arnold Murray at Shepherd’s Chapel. Carol was a very kind woman who was always ready and willing to lend a hand to whoever needed it. She was known for starting each morning with her favourite saying, “What’s on the agenda for today?” She had the biggest heart and loved her family fiercely. Carol would show her playful spirit by constantly being the light of the room. She would laugh, tease, poke, prod and even chase her family and pets around the room with a Cheshire grin across her beautiful face.
Her hobbies included scrapbooking, needlepoint, reading Harlequin romance novels and playing games. Her favourite games were canasta, cribbage, and a homemade version of bingo. Carol also loved to watch television and movies. Her videotape cupboard and DVR were full of disaster films, Jurassic Park, Harry Potter, Agatha Christie, mystery shows, Supernatural, and of course, Christmas Movies.
Carol is preceded by her parents Francis and Mary Diemert; sister Joanne Diemert; and brother Francis Diemert.
Carol is survived by her son Richard Grossman; daughter Leah (Morris) White; grandchildren Jesse and Matthew White; brother Paul (Eileen) Diemert; brother Kent (Gail) Diemert; and sister-in-law Janice (wife to Francis Diemert); along with numerous nieces and nephews. All of whom she loved and cherished deeply.
We invite family and friends to join us on Saturday, November 27, between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. for a Come-and-Go Celebration of her Life at New Hope Lutheran Church, 370 McIntosh St N, Regina, SK.
We would like to remind everyone to please observe COVID precautions, please wear a mask and practice social distancing.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carol
