Carol “Snooks” Stewart (Beck)
1941-2021
REXTON, NB – It is
with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of
Carol “Snooks” Stewart, 79, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont
University Hospital Centre, Moncton on Thursday, February
18th, 2021. Born in Rexton, she
was the daughter of the late James Sherman and Emily May (Roberts)
Beck. Before retiring, Carol had volunteered with St. John Ambulance
and worked as a house keeper for local families. She was a great
mother who loved her children very much and also had a great love for
animals. She enjoyed spending time in nature, especially by the river
or the ocean and she also enjoyed
camping.
Carol leaves to mourn her daughter Tracy Sutherland
of Amherst, NS; two sons, Victor Cail (Audrey) of Edmonton, AB and
Quinn Cail (Cathy) of Irishtown; her step-son, Christopher Stewart of
Miramichi; her granddaughter, Christine Cail; step-granddaughter,
Lexie Stewart; and her great-granddaughter, Daye Lynne
Cail.
Carol will also be sadly missed by her sister, Mary
Shortall (Paul) of Sus; loved like a sister, Margie McWilliam (Don)
of Rexton; brother-in-law, Craig Dickison of Middle Sackville; as well
as by her many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Carol was predeceased by her
husband, Loren Stewart; son, Bryce Cail; granddaughter, Dana Lynn Cail
and by her two sisters, Veronica Dickison and Vivian
Beck.
Following the family’s wishes, there will
be no visitation or funeral service.
Arrangements are in the professional care of
Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto.
