Noonan (Currie), Carol Ann – age 79, Truro, NS, formerly of Borden, PEI. With great sadness, the family of Carol Noonan announces her passing on May 8, 2021 in The Mira Long Term Care Centre, Truro.
She was born on May 30, 1941 in Borden to the late Grace (Leard) and Alfred Currie.
Carol is survived by her devoted husband of 50 years, Charles; son, Michael (Amber) DeCoste, Miscouche, PEI; daughter, Kendra (Vince) Arseneau, Pleasant Valley; son, Jason Noonan, Truro; grandchildren, Jeffery, Melissa, Aaron, Reagan, Nicole, Abby and Brandon; great grandchildren, Denika, Brett, Maddy, Braeden and Everleigh; sisters, Betty Carroll, Charlottetown, PEI and Donna Sudbury, Fernwood, PEI; brother, Brian (Lynn) Currie, Truro, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Currie in infancy.
Carol worked for years as a hairdresser in Borden and when she moved to Truro, she worked as a nurse and caregiver for Hillcrest Manor for years and later at Cedarstone Enhanced Care. She was fun-loving, always enjoying a joke and cherished and laughed over old stories of all her family members. She will be deeply mourned and missed by many.
Due to the unfortunate circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic restrictions, a celebration of life services and interment will be held in Prince Edward Island at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow Street, Truro, NS. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.ColchesterCommunity.com.
