It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Daughter of the late Wilfrid and late Ida (née Ramsay) Robitaille. Wife of the late Jean-Paul Robitaille. Loving mother of Diane Gensemer (Robert) from Arizona, Lucy Daurie (Brian) from Sudbury, and Lynn Robitaille (Mark) from Kitchener. Cherished Grammy to Tammy Daurie and Nathan Daurie, and grandma to many fur babies. Will be sadly missed by nieces Debbie Hutchings and Denise Jenks. She was predeceased by her sister Larraine Bouchard (late Yvon) and brother Ernest Tremblay (late Joan).
Carmen will be fondly remembered for her sharp wit, great sense of humor, and heartwarming smile. She loved making people laugh, even in serious situations, and always brought a smile and a laugh to her healthcare providers even to the end. Carmen enjoyed doodling, sock knitting, taking long walks, and line dancing. She will also be missed by her many friends at Eastview Gardens with whom she shared so many funny stories and jokes.
The family would like to thank Dr. Walton and the team from Maison Hospice for their compassionate care. We also send a special thank you to her guardian angel nurses Samantha, Terry, Cathy, and Solange for providing such kindhearted care and support during a difficult time.
In keeping with her wishes there will be no visitation or service. Donations can be made by cheque or online to Pet Save Sudbury. We love you, we miss you, we want you to be happy. Go safely, go dancing, go running home.
