Carmela Rose Palermo
With heartfelt sadness, our family accounces the peaceful passing of Carmela “Carmie” Palermo (nee Carfagnini) in Toronto, July 11, 2021 in her home at the age of 84. She will now be reunited with the love of her life, John. Loving mother of Marc (Cindy), Louanne, and Loretta (Thomas). Proud grandmother of Christopher and Danielle. Predeceased by parents, Enrico and Ida Carfagnini, and brother Anthony (Dolores). Survived by sisters Rosemarie (Rocky) and Theresa (the late Carmen). She was a loving sister in law of the late Michael, Frank (Marcia) and the late Victor (Gail). A special thank you to Gail for all her support during this difficult time. Carmie was a fantastic cook, known for her famous meatballs, lasagna and beef tenderloin. She also enjoyed golf, tennis and travelling. She spent many Januarys in Florida, and had the “trip of a lifetime” in Italy with John in her younger years. She loved socializing with her many dear friends and family, who will miss her kind, caring and generous spirit. We would also like to thank Sheena, her caregiver who helped her through the last year.
A private family service will be held on July 15, 2021 at 1:30 PM.
