Hooper, Carolynne Shirley – It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mom, nanny, sister and friend, Carolynne Shirley Hooper (Kelly), of Gay’s River on December 18, 2021, in her home.
Mom was born in Halifax to the late James and June (Reginald) Brannon.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 56 years, Wayne.
Mom loved to knit, crochet, embroider, and read. She was a long-time member of the Shubenacadie Tinsmith Museum and Craft Shop.
Mom leaves to mourn her children, Christine Sawler (Jeff), Hardwoodlands; Robin McMullen (Dan), Hardwoodlands; Peter Hooper (Christine), Coquitlam, BC; and Laura Hooper (Steve), Sooke, BC.
Nanny leaves behind her grandchildren; Brannon, Reilly, Marissa, Jordan, MacKenzie , Kyle, Lorien , Camille, Kayden, Logan and Koa; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Also surviving mom are her brothers and sisters, Jimmy Brannon (Judy),
Allan Brannon (Marlene), Linda Tancock (Ted), and Kathy Bennett. She was predeceased by her sister Peggy Brannon.
A special thanks to Dr. Pelley for her care and support over the years.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative.
