Carl Roland Haywood January 12 2021

Haywood, Carl Roland –Age 83, of Meaghers Grant, passed away January 12, 2021 in Musquodoboit Valley Memorial Hospital, Middle Musquodoboit.
Born in Manassette Lake, he was a son of the late Hilton and Helen (Carr) Haywood.
Carl had been employed for 31 years with DND after which he operated Haywood’s Hardwood. He and his wife were happy in his retirement in their home in Meaghers Grant on the river with the horses and dogs. He enjoyed spending time at Tom’s Cabin in Guysborough with his brothers.
He was a loving and caring man and will be missed by his wife, Susan. Also mourning him are his children, Heather, Denine, Natasha, Wade and Mark and their mother, Carol; grandchildren, Amanda, Todd, Chantel, Kyle, Britania, Austin, Shane, Hunter and Jacob; several great-grandchildren; his special girls, Alexis and Brooklyn; siblings, Mary (Harold), Lorraine (Bryce), Diane (Wayne), Howard (Dolly), Ross (Norah), Ernie (Bonnie), Ray, Mel and Tom (Darlene); brother-in-law, Bill; aunt, Gertie; many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers, Cyril and Sam; sister, Patricia; sister-in-law, Bernice.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Arimathea Funeral Cooperative, Upper Musquodoboit.
Cue to COVID restrictions, a service will be held at a later date in Guysborough when family gatherings can take place.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
