Always together in life and in death. It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of Carl and Marylin on April 16th at Hôpital Pierre-Boucher.
Carl (born July 30, 1937) and Marylin (born February 19, 1941) met in 1957 when she was 16 years old. They were married in 1962 and lived in Chateauguay where they raised their 4 boys. Over those 59 years they cherished each other and their family. They loved going on road trips, stopping in at the casino, and being with their grandchildren. Dad was the biggest Maple Leaf fan and loved spending time gardening and feeding the birds. Mom was always cooking for the family, tending to everyone’s likes, and taking care of the neighborhood squirrels. They were the best Mom, Dad, Nanny, and Papa anyone could ask for and we will miss them dearly.
Carl and Marylin are survived by their sons: Todd (Shirley), Brett, Sean (Sandy), and Derek (Glaïeul) and their grandchildren: Jacob, Megan, Jessica, Kaïtlyn, Emily, Breina, Aidan, and Liam.
Carl is also survived by his siblings Phyllis, Lilla, Clifford (Lorraine) and Heather (Danny). He was predeceased by his siblings Brenda, Kevin, and Cindy. Marylin was predeceased by her siblings Donald, Johnny, Billy, Dorothy, and June.
We would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at Hôpital Pierre-Boucher for their care, they truly are soldiers and heroes during this difficult time. Due to COVID restrictions, we are unable to have a service at this time. A memorial service will be planned in the future when family and friends can be together and celebrate this beautiful love story.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting a donation be made to Diabetes Canada in their name.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Carl Joseph & Marylin Patricia Kelly Bulmer 19372021..
