Brian Douglas Smith 1957 2021

Obituary of Brian Douglas Smith
Town of Georgina employee ‘Fleet supervisor’ and former employee of the Town of Newmarket. Peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket on Thursday, July 8, 2021, at the age of 63 years. Beloved husband of 40 years to Frances Smith (née Doyle) of Keswick and son of Patricia Smith (nee Earl) of Toronto . Loving father of Sarah (Kyle Klempner) of Barrie and Jessica Smith of Keswick. Cherished “Papa” of Quinnrose. Dear brother of Norman Smith (Cathie) of Keswick, Linda (John Henderson) of Manilla, and son-in-law of Mary Doyle. Brian left a lasting impression on all who knew him and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He enjoyed puttering in his garage, fishing with his brothers, breakfast with the “Buds”, and riding with his “Crew” on his ATV. Brian worked tirelessly his entire life and fought his most courageous battle the past 9 months. Special thanks to Dr. Baguio, Dr. Zibdawi, and many other doctors, nurses, staff and volunteers at SLRHC for all of their wonderful care and support. The family will receive friends (respecting the need for self distancing, by invitation) from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday July 17, 2021, followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00p.m. In memory of Brian donations to Southlake Regional Health Centre, Stronach Cancer Centre would be appreciated.
