Obituary
Brian Elmer Domino
January 7, 1957 – November 12, 2021
After a life long battle with diabetes, Brian passed away peacefully at the Health Science Center in Winnipeg. Predeceased by his parents, Elmer and Norma Domino.
Left to cherish his memory is his family, Leslie (Kenny), Holly and Bryce, Azayleah, Ezekiel; Melissa; Joel (Kaly); Ronnie (Denise), Jessie and Sarah; Jennie and Kory, Tylie, James; Tracey (Stacy), Seth and Amanda, Oliver; Robyn; Mike, Odin and Chloe. Also, numerous cousins and long time friends, the Stutsky family.
Brian was the eldest of five children. For the first 10 years of his life he grew up in Winnipeg. Later the family moved to the Domino farm in the Winnipeg Beach area. Brian had a passion for agriculture which led him to work many years for Patterson Elevators. Brian aka (weasel), was known for his competitive spirit and quick wit. He was an avid reader and had a keen mind for facts, details, statistics, names and places.
Some of Brian’s interests were hunting, playing crib and backgammon and special Monopoly games with his nephews which he was champion of most of the time. He enjoyed watching all sports especially his favourite team, the Chicago Black Hawks.
Brian’s dream was to win the “million” on scratch tickets and take the whole family out for a Big Mac!
Thank you to the many doctors, nurses and care givers who provided care for Brian throughout the years: Dialysis Unit, Transplant Team and Home Care. Thank you to the Palliative Care Team for your compassion and love shown in Brian’s final days. Special thanks to Ernest Stefanson and staff at Pharmasave for going above and beyond in helping Brian.
Cremation has taken place and a private family gathering will be held at a later date.
