Brennan Gregory Dawson, 62, of
Moncton, NB passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on
Wednesday November 17,
2021.
Brennan retired from Correctional
Services Canada, Dorchester in 2016 after 32 years of
service. Brennan was an avid sports fan who played hockey most of his
life. His pastimes were watching the Toronto Maple Leafs and
the HGTV Network; As well as giving a lending hand to anyone who
needed it with anything they were building, from a kitchen reno to a
full house build. His grandchildren were his source of love
and pride, giving him purpose and immense joy in his
retirement.
Brennan is survived by his wife
of 42 years, Sally, having been together as childhood sweethearts.
Together they have four children Ryan Dawson, Nick Dawson,
Melissa Cormier (Justin), Samantha Melvin (Jesse), grandchildren
Maycii, Nash and Myah. He is the son of Julia Matilda
“Tillie” Dawson and the late Cecil Dawson. Also survived by
his brother, Brian Dawson (Karen), father-in-law Alphonsus
“Al” Donovan, mother-in-law Argentine “Tina”
Donovan, sisters-in law Jill Donovan (Dan Ross), Janice Donovan, and
by several nieces and a
nephew.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral
Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 6:00 to
9:00 pm. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home
Chapel on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 11:00 am with Fr. Phil
Mulligan presiding. The funeral service will be livestreamed via his
online obituary.
Those who plan to attend the
visitation hours or funeral liturgy will be asked to show proof of
double vaccination as well as a government
