Bond, Brenda Marie – Canso, Age
72. It is with great sadness and heavy hearts
we announce the sudden passing of Brenda at home on Friday, March
19th, 2021.
Born in Canso she was the
daughter of the late Margaret (Mason) and Cecil
Parker. Brenda was loved by all and a friend to
many. She was a sweet, gentle person who treated everyone
with kindness and love. She enjoyed playing TV Bingo every
week with her son Randy and playing 45s at the local
clubs. Her real passion though, was kicking her brothers
butts at crib!
She is survived by sons, Steven (Angila), Randy, Kevin;
grandchildren, Marcus, Kevin, Shirley, Jaedyn, and Teigan;
brothers, Tommy (Doris), Bill (Pauline), Dave, Steve, Johnny (Marg),
Nelson; sisters, Theresa McPhee, Coleen Bouchie (Tom), Gertie Grant
(Roger), Marilyn Rossong (Eddie), Rita Collins (Neil) and many nieces
and nephews whom she all loved deeply. Besides her parents Brenda is
predeceased by her husband, Jim; brothers, Cecil Jr., Charlie; sister;
Daisy; brothers-in-law, Howie, Doug; sisters-in-law, Joanne, Rosie and
Christena.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held
2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 9, in Dennis Haverstock Funeral
Home, Canso. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday,
April 10 in Star of the Sea Roman Catholic Church, Canso with Father
Jonathan Nnajifor officiating. Burial in the Parish
Cemetery.
In keeping with COVID-19 guidelines, you will
be required to sign in with your name and phone number at both the
funeral home and the church. Face coverings must be worn at all times
and social distancing measures will be in
effect.
