Obituary of Brenda Darlene Carter
Born on May 23, 1959 in Saskatchewan, Brenda passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Centenary Hospital, Scarborough with her husband and brother by her side at the age of 62. Devoted and loving wife of Ross Carter. Loving mother of Christopher and Jason (Karissa Lane). Cherished Nana of Abby, Mackenzie and Grayson. Beloved daughter of the late Dorothy Etta Mae Cornish and Marvin John Cornish. Dear sister of Karen (Larry Hamlyn), Kevin (deceased), Ivan and Dianne Cornish. Sister-in-law to Joan (John Marsh), John Carter (Laurie Heath) and Linda Yeomans (Ivan Cornish). Loving aunt to Matthew and Stephen Cornish; Gordon, Geoffrey and Keith Hamlyn; Brianne, Brandon and Kayla Cornish; Robert Carter; Bill, Megan & Vicki Marsh; Brian Yeomans & Jennie Charters; Shane Carter, Andrew Carter (deceased) & Sarah Maro. Fondly remembered by her uncles Barry Campbell (Janice Wright) and the late Don (Gloria) Campbell; aunts Sheila (Serge) Joncas and Mary (Wendell) Matchett. Long time friend with Laurie Henderson, Sue and Gord Moss. Brenda will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Visitation will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive, Oshawa (south side of Taunton Road, east of Thornton Road by the Oshawa Airport) 905-440-3595 on Friday, August 20th from 1:00-3:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm. A Service to Celebrate Brenda’s life will be held in the DeStefano Chapel on Saturday, August 21st at 1:00pm.
