Brayden was 13 years old, 13 days in hospital and he passed away at 13:37 on Sunday, December 5th at the Hospital For Sick Kids in Toronto (PICU) from complications of a spinal tumour.
Grade 9 student at Regi High School in Kingston. Previously, a student at St Paul’s Elementary School. Survived by his parents Kellie (nee Grooms) and David Badour of Kingston. Grandson of Dianne and Arnie Badour of Smiths Falls and the late Lilianne and Gerry Grooms of Elginburg. Nephew to Kathie (Francis) Groenewegen (Elginburg), Chris (Susie) Grooms (Wilton), Debi (Gavin) Cunningham (Smiths Falls), cousin to Patrick and Olivia Groenewegen (Elginburg) and Jannah and Meredith Cunningham (Smiths Falls).
Thank you to the amazing teams of doctors and nurses at Sick Kids. We very much appreciate all the love and support from all our family, friends and neighbours. We could not get through this difficult time without you!
Brayden, we love you, miss you and are so proud of you. We are so grateful to have had you in our lives for almost 14 years!!! You are in our hearts forever!
