May 1929 – September 2021
Brahm was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 6, 1929 and passed away in Ottawa, Ontario on September 2021, following a long illness.
He was predeceased by his parents Hanna and Chane Kosasky, and his sisters, Rebecca, Ruth and Edith.
He was life partner to Monique Irène Lortie for 44 years in Ottawa where they made their home.
He was an active Zionist in his youth and always maintained a keen interest in politics.
He had a long career in the Public Service of Canada where he held a number of senior positions in financial management and policy and worked in Victoria, Peterborough, Montreal and Ottawa.
Brahm had a lifelong interest in the arts, especially painting and sculpture including the works of Marc Chagall and Chinese imperial horses.
He was a good friend to his friends. He loved to travel and was a bon vivant who greatly enjoyed fine cuisine and good cigars.
Prayers and internment will take place at the Jewish Memorial Gardens, 2692 Bank Street in Ottawa on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at twelve noon, Rabbi Eytan Kenter presiding.
A celebration of life event will be held at a future time.
