Bounchanh Phongsivorabouth (纪宝珍) Passed away on December 17th, 2021, at the age of 92. She died peacefully at her home surrounded by her children. She joins her late husband Choun Phongsivorabouth (张剑云), son (Li Guo立国), and daughter (Somsamay 湄湄). Bounchanh will be greatly missed and remembered by her daughter Kee (husband Renato, son Brenton), son Tom (wife Phouang, sons Gordon and Richard), son Willy (wife Emily, daughters Cassandra and Carolyne), and son-in-law Keith (daughters Lianne and Jessica).
Her hobbies included knitting, origami, reading, and singing. Bounchanh was very athletic in her young adult life (loved playing basketball). She had been a primary school music & dance teacher in Laos (at 崇德学校). Bounchanh has a great sense of humor and a very positive outlook on life, she is remembered by many as a kind, generous and loving person.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday Dec 23rd, 2021 from 10 – 12 noon (Toronto time) at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home at 8911 Woodbine Ave, Markham 905-305-8505 with interment to follow at Elgin Mills Cemetery (1591 Elgin Mills Road East, Richmond Hill).
