Blanche’s Obituary
Dezell, Blanche Elizabeth
(nee James)
1921-2021
With sadness we announce the peaceful passing of our dear mother into the loving arms of God on Wednesday, May 12, 2021.
Cherished wife of the late Ross Dezell. Loving mother of Zenda Deazeley (John), Dianne Nel and Colleen Walker (Roy, deceased). She will be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren, Mark Deazeley (Katie), Derek Deazeley, Bronwyn Gilchrist (Brandon), Nikki Nel, Ryan Walker (Mignon), Shelley McCallum (Trevor) and her great-grandchildren, Ross, Heather, & Sarah Walker, Joshua & Matthew McCallum and Charlie & Sloane Gilchrist. Also survived by sisters May East and Irene Baldock. Predeceased by her parents William Thomas James and Florence Belford and her brothers Russell, Mack and Robert James.
With thanks to Dr. Buckley and the Carleton Place Terrace for their special care.
Blanche grew up on a farm near Appleton and moved to Scotch Corners after her marriage where she lived until fairly recent years. Blanche is still remembered by many students she taught during her long teaching career in Carleton Place.
Due to Covid a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Family and friends may join the family online for the service being livestreamed on YouTube on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11 a.m. (search YouTube for “BarkerFH Blanche Dezell”).
For those who wish, donations to the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
