Bilyea, Robert Eugene ‘Bob’

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Robert Eugene Bilyea announce his passing on Friday, January 8, 2021.
Predeceased by his first wife, Arlie Beatrice Jessie (née Geer) Bilyea. Survived by his second wife, Beverly (née Duncan) Bilyea. Dearly loved by his daughters, Lisa Wissel and Michelle Young (Brad). Much-loved and respected father-in-law to Brad Young. Cherished grandfather and hero to Mackenzie (Alison) and Connor (Cheryse) Young, and Chelsey Straub. Adoring great-grandfather to Logan Young.
Fondly remembered by his stepchildren, Penny (Brian) Stager, Angela (Paul) Duncan, Jim (Sharon) Walker, Larry (Tracy) Walker, and Robin (Tracy) Walker; and several step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob enjoyed his role as “GG” to the grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sister Jean Anne (Arnie) Titus; and leaves behind his brothers, Donald (Marianne) Bilyea, Peter (Betty) Bilyea; and brother-in-law, Wayne Geer. He is fondly remembered by the extended Walker and Henderson families.
Bob was always quick to lend a hand, never turning down a request for help. He was a mentor to many young men starting out in the construction trade. He loved to spend time with his grandsons, teaching them how to build or repair things. Bob could also be found at all of the boy’s sporting activities. He was so proud of their accomplishments and loved nothing better than to be there to cheer them on. He was known as Grandpa Bob to so many young people. Dad will always be “The Greatest” to us.
A private interment will be held at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Bob are asked to consider the London Health Sciences Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
