“Billy” Gene Russell went home to be with his Lord and Savior on May 21, 2021 at the age of 50.
Preceded in death by father, Ples and mother, Linda Russell and his brother, Alan Russell.
He leaves behind his wife, Robin, who he loved with all his heart: his daughter, Ashlynn, the light of his life and the man she has chosen, that has made him proud, Trey Bayne. Oh yes! Bill was gifted with a very special granddaughter, Sophie, who called him “Pop Pop”. He had 5 stepchildren – Jesse (Courtney) Hawkins, Sarah (Ben) Kirkland, Jacob, Natalie and Tanner. He also leaves behind 5 siblings, Missy (Gerald) Stillwell, Teresa (Jimmy King) Pollard, Scott (Tammy) Rouse, Christy Hurston, Tommy (Georgia) Russell and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, May 25, 2021, at Bridges Funeral Home, with the service at 7:00 pm officiated by Rev. Mike Lee. Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 10:45 AM for an 11:00 AM graveside service at Washington Pike Presbyterian Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath Jenkins, Shaun Davis, Robert McMahon, Ben Kirkland, Jacob Hawkins and Matthew Perkins.
