McIntyre, William Alexander:
Passed away peacefully at home, with family by his side, on Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of the late Lois (nee Johnson) (1999). Loving father of Scott (Christy Jolliffe), Amy TerVrugt (late Richard) and Katherine Gravelle (Brent). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas and Emily TerVrugt, Katelyn and Lucas Gravelle, and Hayley and Allison Jolliffe. Dear brother of Heather Trakalo (late Gerry) and Rob McIntyre (Carol). Fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, friends and colleagues.
Bill was a co-founder of Box 690 Fire Department Canteen and volunteered with the charity for 32 years throughout Waterloo Region. He was a teacher with the Waterloo District School Board, a member of the Kitchener-Waterloo Gem and Mineral Club and the Waterloo Coin Society.
A graveside service for Bill will be held on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at Williamsburg Cemetery, 1541 Fischer Hallman Road, Kitchener. Arrangements entrusted to the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the War Amps or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
