La célébration de
Biagia Giudice (nee Mancuso)
14 juillet 1932 –
23 janvier 2021
With great sadness the Giudice family announces the passing of Biagia, in her 89th year. Beloved wife of the late Giovanni. Loving mother of Martino (Colleen), Carmelina (Nicola) and Calogero “Rino” (Caroline). Cherished grandmother of Diana, John Daniel, Blake, Laura, Curtis and Cristen. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, nieces, nephews, many friends & neighbours. A special thank you to her PSW’s at the LHIN especially Marlene & Abigail.
After apprenticing for several years in the city of Caltanisetta, Biagia would eventually establish her own custom clothing boutique at 17, in the small town of Delia, Sicily. Biagia was a talented designer and a talented business woman. She exclusively designed and created, bespoke wedding gowns & women’s wear. In time, her clients grew and she became very renowned in her town and also surrounding towns. Biagia was a perfectionist and the quality and beauty of her garments were truly exceptional. Her mother would often recall the laughter and joy of the young girls who served as her apprentices, who learned so much from her daughter. In time, Biagia would meet and marry Giovanni and immigrate to Canada where she continued working for Canadian designers in Toronto’s garment industry. Her mother would later comment on how quiet it was in the house after her departure. Biagia was a petite lady but she was a force of nature. She was strong willed, stoic but also kind & compassionate. Biagia was always so proud of her parents, siblings, children, grandchildren and her many nieces & nephews. Her loss will be deeply felt. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
