Obituary of Beverly Vivian Jean Nelson-Walker
NELSON-WALKER – Beverly Vivian Jean (nee Nelson) of St Thomas formally of Quebec City, QC passed away peacefully at the St Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved partner of Louis Bernatehez. Beverly is survived by her children Garth Romkey (Travene Jobagy) of St Thomas, Bruce Romkey of Vancouver, BC, Kathy Blair (Jeff) of Toronto, Julianne Gurdebeke of Windsor, Theresa Romkey of Hamilton. Predeceased by son Jeffrey Romkey 2018 (Colleen Neeland of Victoria B.C) Beloved Grandmother of Christopher, Tara, Taggart, James, Aiden, Sara, Bruce John. Sadly missed by several Nieces & Nephews. Predeceased by Siblings Verlin Nelson, Rutherford (Nelson) Lanning, Lorne Nelson, Floyd Nelson and Rev. Garth Nelson. Beverly will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many friends. Arrangements entrusted to the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home, 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570). The funeral service will be held at the St John’s Anglican Church, 20 Flora St, St Thomas at a later date. If desired, donations to St John’s Anglican Church would be appreciated.
