Death Notice
YATES, Beverley Anne (nee Blair) – Passed away peacefully with her family by her side at home on Monday, August 23rd 2021. Beloved wife for 36 years of Peter Yates. Loving mother of Ken Yates and his wife Kate, and Karen Yates and her fiancé David. Survived by her sister Carolyn Wood (Rick) and her father Grant Blair. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Reunited in peace with her mother Margaret Blair, sister Judy Marinelli and brother Gord Blair.
Bev was fiercely strong, kind-hearted, and positive, always putting others before herself and looking on the bright side of life. In her 32 years of teaching she impacted the lives of countless children both inside and outside the classroom.
Her incredible spirit and energy continued outside the classroom, where you could find her teaching cycle classes at the gym, walking beloved dogs Charlie and Joni, or creating her own at-home family bootcamp. She was hiking, working out and biking right up into her final days.
Visitation by appointment on Saturday, August 28 at Harris Funeral Home, 220 St. James St. at Richmond. To view available times and register your attendance, please copy and paste the following link into your browser and complete the form:
