Hamilton-Morris, Betty Lou, age
66, of Antigonish passed away suddenly in St. Martha’s
Regional Hospital, Antigonish on October 18, 2021.
Born in Peterborough, Ontario, she was the daughter of the
late George and Frances (Corey) Hamilton.
Betty Lou spent many years working in finance for the Federal
Government in Nunavut returning to Nova Scotia to be with family.
Known as Boo to many, she had a very kind heart and an
infectious smile. She loved to read, “start”
making quilts, and being near the water. Betty Lou was an
amazing cook. A determined lady all her life, she approached
her illness in the same way, living it on her own
terms.
She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Morris (Joey
Benoit), and their children Parker and Saylour, who were
Betty’s pride and joy; step grandsons, Nathan and Randy
Benoit, Pomquet and also her son Jason Morris of Edmonton; sisters:
Jane (Grant) Heffernan; Darla Lee (Jim) Pawluk; Marilyn Pawluk;
brother, Wayne (Linda) Hamilton all of Ontario and many nieces and
nephews who affectionally called her “Auntie
Boo”.
She was predeceased by a sister, Joan
Hamilton.
Betty’s family would like to thank the wonderful
team of angels in the Dialysis Unit at St. Martha’s and all
those who cared for her over the years.
