Bertha Piccolo 1928 2021

Obituary for
Bertha Piccolo (Robichaud)
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom Bertha Piccolo on Friday, February 19, 2021, in Sudbury, at the age of 92. Predeceased by her loving husband Evo Piccolo (2000) and her parents William and Mary Robichaud. Loving mother of Wendy Philion of Copper Cliff, Debye (Bruce) Rienguette of Elliot Lake and Lisa (Greg) Gomirato of Lively. Cherished Gramma/Gram to Brent (Victoria), Christopher (Lenni), Bradley and Erica. She is survived by sisters Rena Gilpin (Don, predeceased) and Carol Thompson (Arthur) and brother Larry Robichaud (Bonnie). Predeceased by siblings Lorna Robichaud, Rita March, Laurette Rainville, Cecile Szalai and Robert Robichaud. She will be missed by her many nieces and nephews on both the Robichaud and the Piccolo sides of the families as well as many friends. Bertha will be remembered for her calm and loving nature. Her family was her life, and she was devoted to all of them and loved spending as much time as she could with her children and grandchildren. We are so grateful for the life she lived and for the love she shared with her family and beyond. We are sad to lose her but most of all so appreciative of the full life she lived. Special thank you to Drs Baldisera, Smith, Shukla, Carlson, and Nurse Dustin Duffy, PSW Aji Touray and the health team at the NELHIN. We would also like to thank Nurse Practioner Claire Warren at Shared Care and her team at the Maison McCulloch Hospice. As per Bertha’s wishes, there will be no visitation or service. Donations in her memory to Health Sciences North Foundation or Northern Cancer Foundation www.ncfsudbury.com/ are welcome. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca.
