Benoit Vienneau 1933-2021

Bathurst – Benoit “Ben” Vienneau, of Picot Ave., Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday May 12, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst at the age of 87.
Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Leonard and Clara (Hébert) Vienneau.
He was pre-deceased by his first wife, Isabelle (Doucet) Vienneau and is survived by his wife, Jeannette Hachey Lavigne.
Three children: Ron Vienneau, Ed Vienneau ( Carole Nellis ) and Elaine Saunders all of Oshawa, ON.
Three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
One sister, Milly O’Neil of Montreal, QC and one brother, Emile Viennenau of Bathurst.
Three stepchildren: Nancy Ann Noël (Ghislain) of Allardville, Kim Lavigne of Moncton and Lyndia Lavigne Arseneau (Eric) of Beresford. Four step-grandchildren.
Several nieces and nephews.
Besides his first wife and his parents, he was pre-deceased by two sons: Larry, Ross and several brothers and sisters.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday afternoon May 18, 2021 at 2 p.m. from Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Bathurst with all Covid restriction in place.
Donations in memory of Ben may be made to the Chaleur Regional Hospital Foundation or a favorite charity.
