McPhaden, Beatrice Carry (née Fisher) – Beatrice McPhaden, 90, of Manilla, Ontario passed away after a lengthy illness at Lakeridge Health Centre, Bowmanville on Thursday, July 1, 2021. Bea was the beloved mother of Shirley McDonnell and the late Jim McPhaden. She was the much loved mother-in-law of Rick McDonnell and Tracy McPhaden. Bea was the cherished grandmother of Nathaniel McDonnell (Kimiko) of British Columbia, Stephanie Aghajani (Shahriar) of Orangeville, and Kevin and Kody McPhaden of Manilla. Her great-grandchildren, Taro and Hana McDonnell, and Oscar and Arthur Aghajani, will lovingly remember “Grandma Bea”. Bea was predeceased by her first husband Jiggs (1975) and her second husband Harold “Gordon” (1986), her sister-in-law Ruby Hall, her sister Evelyn Robertson, and her brother George Fisher (survived by Marie Fisher). Bea was a long time employee of The Lindsay Daily Post. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will take place. If desired, memorial donations to the SickKids Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
