Beatrice Ann (Reynolds) Morrissey, wife of the late Raymond Morrissey of Losier Hall and formerly of Newcastle, NB, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Friday, March 19, 2021 at the age of 89. Born in Chatham, NB, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Agnes (Dwyer) Reynolds. Beatrice was retired from NB Liquor in Newcastle. She was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church and enjoyed many hobbies including knitting, crocheting and playing Bridge.
Beatrice is survived by: one daughter: Faye Morrisey-Pratt (Ross) of Moncton, NB; two sisters: Nora Luciw (Pete) of Orillia, ON; Theresa Sobey (the late Glen) of Barrie, ON; one brother: Gerald Reynolds (Corrine) of Chatham, NB; two grandchildren: Jason Richard Gidley (Carolyn Malley) of Miramichi, NB; Kristin Rae Gidley of Texas, USA; two great grandchildren: Claire Isabelle Smith and Anton Bauer Smith as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband: Raymond, Beatrice is predeceased by: two sisters: Mary Leonard and Eileen “Nin” Trudel and brothers: Joseph, Clarence, Billy and Frankie Reynolds.
At Beatrice’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private burial will take place in St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Cemetery later in the spring.
