Barrie Isaac Nickerson
1946-2021
It is with sadness that we announce the passing
of Barrie Isaac Nickerson on Thursday December 9, 2021, at his home in
Kentville, NS. Born June 25, 1946, in Shelburne NS, to the late Herman
and Rowena Nickerson. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Sharon;
and survived by their daughter Nicole (Kyle), Halifax; sister, Verna
Mae (Doug), Fredericton; stepdaughters, Isabel, Halifax, and Summer,
Calgary. He is lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Catherine
and Merriam. Barrie was predeceased by his brothers, Ralph (Marilyn),
and Craig (Sadie). Barrie will be missed by all who knew him. We thank
Judy, Sharon, Bobby, Terry, and his neighbors on Badin Powell Dr.,
whose friendship and support meant so much. Barrie was a kind, gentle
soul who loved his family more than anything in the world. He was a
true collector; loved old cars, Elvis memorabilia, and was a ham radio
enthusiast. Many a weekend was spent checking out all the yard sales
in the valley; something that he and Sharon always did together.
Barrie died peacefully, surrounded by the Lord and all who were
waiting to celebrate his arrival. Cremation has taken place, with no
service by request. Donations in Barrie’s memory may be made
to the SPCA, or charity of choice. Funeral arrangements have
been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
