Barbara Ramsden Friday May 7th 2021

Barbara Ramsden
After an extended battle with pulmonary fibrosis and head and neck cancer Barbara Ramsden passed away peacefully at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Friday the 7th of May. She was born in Keighley, Yorkshire, England on the 18th of January 1950 and married her husband of 50 years, Peter Ramsden, at Bingley Parish Church in Yorkshire. She is also survived by her two sons, Mark and Roger.
Barbara gave up her budding career to care for her children through their early days then, subsequently sold Real Estate in Milton, Ontario.
She volunteered with the United Way of Milton, sharing the responsibility for the 1988 campaign with her husband and started Milton United Way’s hugely successful Christmas House Tour. An event which continues to raise funds for charity to this day.
A quiet person but one who made strong, lifelong friendships. She loved to dance and share good times with friends. So feel free to celebrate her life rather than mourning her passing. She would like that
Because of Co-Vid 19 restrictions there will be a private family ceremony at Brighton Funeral Home.
Please send any donations in lieu of flowers to either the Cancer Society of Canada, the Canadian Lung Association or The United Way of Milton.
