DiMarco, Barbara Pauline (nee Norton)
Passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, December 26, 2021 at the age of 78. Barbara will be forever missed by her beloved partner of 45 year Bill Stewart. Loving mother of Chris DiMarco-McGeorge (Jeremy). Cherished grandmother, also known as “Bobo”, to Cody McGeoge (Mica), Bre McGeorge-Soon (James) and their father Al McGeorge.
Dear sister of Gage “Tary” Norton (Olga) and predeceased buy brothers Bobby and Jack Norton. Predeceased also by her parents Margaret Norton-Young and George Norton. Barbara also leaves behind her two dogs Zen and Zella whom she thought the world of.
Barbara grew up and was a long time resident of Fonthill where she worked as a hairdresser for many years. She loved all animals, especially dogs and horses. Barbara raised and showed Afghan Hounds and was a volunteer at the Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue. She enjoyed going to the Fort Erie Racetrack but above all and loved traveling with Bill, especially to Costa Rica where they traveled for the last 37 years.
The family would like to thank Dr. Scher for her care while mom was at home and a heartfelt thanks to the support given by Trina who we could not have gotten through without her help.
A celebration of Barbara’s life will be announced one a later date. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Last Chance Horse and Pony Rescue and to the Welland Humane Society.
